    Enables 14-3-3 protein binding activity; RNA polymerase binding activity; and mRNA 3\'-UTR AU-rich region binding activity. Involved in several processes, including negative regulation of polynucleotide adenylyltransferase activity; p38MAPK cascade; and regulation of gene expression. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including negative regulation of inflammatory response; negative regulation of myeloid cell differentiation; and regulation of RNA metabolic process. Located in cytosol and nucleus. Part of CCR4-NOT complex and ribonucleoprotein complex. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; brain; early conceptus; genitourinary system; and hemolymphoid system gland. Used to study rheumatoid arthritis.
