    Enables phospholipase activity and serine hydrolase activity. Involved in endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi vesicle-mediated transport; rhodopsin biosynthetic process; and spermatogenesis. Located in COPII-coated ER to Golgi transport vesicle. Is expressed in several structures, including adult head; embryonic epidermis; germline cell; and gut section. Used to study hereditary spastic paraplegia. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in hereditary spastic paraplegia 54.
