Located in apical plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; extraembryonic component; metanephros; and reproductive system. Used to study left ventricular noncompaction. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in congenital disorder of glycosylation type IIn.
